Here's to 2015 being a major turning point in the war against poaching, wildlife trafficking and habitat destruction. The world's wildlife need us now more than ever, but even in the eleventh hour there is still time to resist the nihilistic claim of extinction if we make our elected governments conform to scientific reality, common sense (an abject rarity in politics today) and whatever common sense of decency remains to us. We have taken everything we've needed from the planet's other inhabitants for tens of thousands of years, and now it's time to pay our bill. Please do what you can to support whatever exemplary conservation organization protects the wild animals and landscapes most important to you and to your legacy.
